Ryver uses personal information to provide and improve the marketplace, manage jobs, protect users and meet legal obligations.

Information we collect

This can include your name, contact details, property/job details, messages, preferred dates, photographs, videos, audio, signatures, payment status and support/dispute information. For providers it can also include business, insurance, qualification and performance information.

How we use it

We use information to prepare and administer quotes, match and communicate with providers, arrange bookings, process and reconcile payments, provide customer support, prevent misuse, handle complaints and disputes, maintain records, and improve Ryver.

Who receives it

We share only what is reasonably necessary with parties involved in providing Ryver, including the provider assigned or offered relevant work and service suppliers used for payment, hosting, communications and similar operations. We do not sell your personal information.

Job media

Photos, videos, audio, signatures and other job evidence may contain information about your home or property. Ryver stores sensitive job media privately and restricts access to authorised users involved in administering the job.

Legal basis and retention

Depending on the activity, processing may be necessary to perform a contract or take steps at your request, comply with legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the service. Records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, including legal, accounting and dispute requirements.

Your rights

UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct or erase information, restrict or object to certain processing, and obtain a copy of information in applicable circumstances. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
